Well, it's official. Dallas now has H&M (well, technically it's a pop-up shop) and the entire city is thrilled! I stopped by during the first day and it was quite a zoo. But, for once, the crowds and long checkout lines didn't bother me. I was in H&M heaven.
I got a chance to chat with the head of H&M's visual design and he was very excited to share in this experience. He pointed out that all of the pop-up store's inventory was pulled from other locations for this special occasion. Though the store is rather small, he knows that the impact will be incredible. Also, since H&M didn't have time to hire workers, all of the attendees are from locations around the US. He was hesitate to share with me, but I got him to let me know when shipments arrive (Tuesdays & Fridays). Also, he couldn't disclose the permanent location opening in October 2011, but he pointed to a certain direction - I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
